Now the question could be asked why President Biden renegotiate it? He wanted to, but not only were we in the middle of a pandemic, trump had so badly damaged the credibility of the U.S. that Iran was deeply skeptical of the U..S. reliability that any new agreement wouldn't be abandoned by a future administration.

This is not to paint Iran as some innocent victim, because they are not, but seriously, why in the world would any country trust US today given the history of trump?
