8. I would argue my assertion is accurate

The courts and states and Congress, under the conditions they themselves created, gave unlimited power to the executive.
I say that because power is NOT in a pen but in the power to back up that pen with a sword.
There is more heavily armed ice agents then police in most states. Not to mention the federalizing of the national guard. Or declare martial law and order the installation of military governors and the suspension of Congress and the courts and the Constitution.

I get it, sounds absurd but I have zero doubt, that eventually, that is exactly what he will do to hold onto power.

No, I don't believe people will rise up either. They might protest but the American people have already proven to be servile and spineless and they will, by and large, just fall into line and do whatever the dictator tells them.
How do I know that?
Because most Americans were more mad about the Bad Bunny half time show than the government overtly protecting Pedophiles.
