He is certainly one of the smartest basketball minds of all time. He has also been known to have a freakish memory, as shown during the playoffs last year when a reporter asked him about a certain play and he proceeded to give a play by play from memory of about 3 minutes worth of game time in the post game presser. I remember reading an article about LeBron’s memory and in the piece Chris Bosh said that when they watch football Chris Bosh will wonder aloud who a player is and then LeBron will proceed to name exactly what pick in the draft he was and what school he came from and leave Bosh speechless. There were also stories about how LeBron would come into training camp and have the entire playbook memorized from every position.

James has a photographic memory for many things, including movies, television shows and music. If someone names an actor, James can list which movies they've been in. And several Lakers said they haven't been able to find a song that James doesn't know.
