Venezuela had "state of the art" Russian/Chinese junk too, I mean air defenses also...and the US waltzed in and grabbed their President with no losses.

Venezuela relied heavily on Russian-made systems for its air defense network — such as S-300 batteries, Buk systems, and S-125 Pechora launchers — and Chinese radars.
