RFK Jr repeatedly says in interviews that we spent $0 on chronic diseases when JFK was president. That's false. Chronic diseases include cancer and diabetes. Of course, we spent money on those in the early 1960s. And if he just means federal spending that doesn't make sense since we spent federal money on veterans with those diseases in the early 1960s and because he contrasts that with current spending of $4.3T/year which includes public and private spending.
