(878 posts)...Democrats must prove they can create an economy that works for the 70% of consumers that drive economic growth.
Time and effort must be spent proving that Democrats have economic theories that work in practice and show results quickly--and take full credit for them.
We have seen that voters do not care about anything--including fascist fantasies--if they do not feel their economic situation is being addressed.
This isn't new either. The Roman cura annonae is a good example.

IMO, jumping straight to Democratic priorities without shoring up the economic conditions of average Americans of all political stripes is a recipe for ending up back under the rule of those who use taxation as a whip against a leery electorate. The foundation of this house must be built first.
