Here is the current state of the search for Sophocles' lost plays:

- Active Archaeological Discoveries: Fragments of lost Greek plays, including those by Sophocles, are occasionally discovered in Egypt on papyrus scraps, such as those found in the ancient refuse heaps of Oxyrhynchus.

- Technological Assistance:Researchers use modern technology, including infrared imaging, to read faded or damaged papyrus fragments.

- Significant Finds: While recent major, "headline" discoveries have involved Euripides (notably in 2022 and 2024), these breakthroughs often occur in the same locations and using the same methods that search for all Greek tragedians.

Yes, if we find something is significant, we never stop looking for it.

I served 30 years in the Navy. NO ONE is "erasing" military heroes. Their service and sacrifice continues in the people that remember them (like you), and their records of heroism are documented in files, books and archives in military records that would fill a dozen of the largest Amazon warehouses.

It's why it is important that we document and catalog what Donnie Dipshit has removed, so we can find it and put it back.

If I am still alive when this Donnie Dipshit shitshow ends, (and it WILL end), I will be the first to volunteer for the Cultural Rehabilitation Task Force.
