For the rare hardware store appearance, I have gone to Lowes, for no other reason than the veteran's discount and reserved parking space. But no need lately.
Anything useful or entertaining is a 50 mile drive from here. I just got back from shopping.
I rarely order online, but got a Costco membership to support their inclusion efforts, and to basically never use Amazon.
I am studying AI very carefully. It has some positive benefits for programmers. In my opinion, where it works, it is replacing "boilerplate" code, but I still don't see it helping the average Joe, (*) and I'm working on that. Ai or not, preferably not.
The rest of it is hyper-trash AFAICT.
People need to be able to solve their own problems. Technology can do that, but the overlords prefer that they don't, and rely on their empires.
I'll dig into this and firm up my opinions as well as create solutions that are needed, not just playtoys. By whatever means that work on a home computer, not a mega data center.
