The old Democratic “we can do this,” combined with Noo Joisy “kiss my ass and geddaddaheah!” He does not scare easily.

He does still have that albatross of being up for Senate re-election in 2028 hanging around his neck. I don’t know if AZ state law allows what CT did in 2000, allowing Joe Lieberman to run for Senator and VP at the same time, but I don’t like the PR aspects of that, anyhow. It implies less than 100% confidence in winning, and that’s not the image I’d hope to project.
