2. It's not quite that easy as there is no Speaker after noon on 1/3/27

Think of the Speaker McCarthy vote meltdown. The Clerk of the House is the presiding officer, the Clerk is also the one who collects the certificates of election. The House Parlamentarian and the Clerk will help see us through this. The Parlamentarian was on the staff on 1/6 and was instrumental in seeing the Votes counted. I have faith that it will happen again. Like 1/6 and the MaCarthy vote marathon and subsequent Vacating of the Chair, there may be some bumps in the road, but they will get it right.
