Go read up on the Electoral Count Reform Act of 2022.

It was a bipartisan response to January 6, and includes new, stronger rules for how electoral votes are counted, including higher thresholds for challenges to slates of electors during the joint session.

In addition, refresh your memory on how the states responded to the fraudulent electors conspiracies and the elections officials who refused to certify the results. Many states strengthened their laws, increasing criminal penalties for elections officials who refuse to certify results, as well as creating back up paths to certification, with either senior election officials or judges stepping in to certify results. (This would help in the midterms as well).

To be sure, there will be plenty of ratfuckery and shenanigans, but never forget this one absolute truth:

Trump is not omnipotent, and the states and the people are not powerless.
