Gene Hackman, Unforgiven: "I don't deserve this! I was building a HOUSE!" Trump: "I'm building a BALLROOM!" [View all]

If you've seen "Unforgiven," you know that one of the most memorable lines of dialog comes when Gene Hackman is on the floor, shot by Clint Eastwood, and says "I don't deserve this...I was BUILDING A HOUSE..."

And Eastwood replies "DESERVE'S got NOTHING TO DO WITH IT."

I posted a thread on DU earlier today about Bondi yelling in her Congressional hearing, saying holding Trump accountable for whatever references him in the Epstein files "deflect from all the good he's done."

Which is ironic, because that orange slob has destroyed more than he'll ever fix.

But Bondi's erroneous "defensive" whining reminded me of the Hackman scene.

As they say, "Hitler loved his dogs," right?

Problem is, statutory rape is still a crime, whether you're building a house or a ballroom, so whattaya say...how about we just find out if he did it, and we'll worry about his ballroom later?
