TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A man was detained, and a search warrant was served at a home in connection with the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie late Tuesday, Feb. 10.

He was later released, according to CNN and CBS News.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed one person was detained during a traffic stop in Rio Rico, which is about 60 miles south of Tucson.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told 13 News’ Mary Coleman that there have been no signs of Nancy Guthrie and that a medical helicopter that left the Rio Rico area Tuesday night had nothing to do with the case.

The PCSD also confirmed it was “conducting a court-authorized search” of a location in Rio Rico. That location is a home connected to the man who was detained earlier in the night

No arrests yet. The person authorities were looking into is a delivery driver, possibly with FedEx. Investigation continues.

Some background of the area FYI: Rio Rico is a community between Nogales, AZ, which is a border town split in two by the wall, and Tucson, along Interstate 19. Nogales is a port of entry for a lot of fresh produce coming into the US from Mexico, pretty good sized trucking center for getting fresh produce to US tables. Lots of people in Rio Rico and the area work in Tucson. Nogales is where the bird legged ho had that little PR non-event event not long ago.
