This is a miracle drug that happens to be backed by NIH.
Now Vought wants to cut NIH funding.
Translation: Vought got his. Now he's wanting to pull-up the ladder, so we cannot benefit likewise.

In 2021, Russell and (now ex-Wife) Mary Vought wrote:
“We’re extremely grateful to live in a nation that leads the way on medical innovation."
.....and
“We sympathize greatly with those that can’t afford or struggle to pay for basic medical needs,”
....and
“Our hearts break for sick children and their families in a new way.”
