35. Bats find bright lights very confusing. They use echolocation to "see" prey

But they do see with their eyes for navigation also and they are blinded by bright light. It would be like you trying to eat something very delicate and complex off of a moving plate in the center of a bunch of semi trucks with their brights on. In very brightly lit conditions they have accidents, fly into deadly situations, tear their wings and die.

I live in the forest with many bats and I rather like them.
