A Short Story About Rich People And Apologies [View all]

My niece lives in south Florida. She works for a nanny staffing agency. They recruit and screen people to be nannies. They recruit from other countries also. These nannies are for the ultra wealthy. So my niece who works in the office gets a visit from an agent(I can't remember their official title) of one of these ultra wealthy clients. They were there to ask that the nanny they have be replaced. This agency is huge and very professional and you don't just replace a nanny you have to do a whole survey and interview about what is wrong and how can we be better. The number one complaint from this ultra wealthy client was that they were teaching their children manners. When the interviewer asked what was wrong with that the agent for the client said they don't use manners. In other words they don't say please, thank you or sorry. Apparently it's beneath them.
