Whatever happened to the Republican Party's public reputation for "morals", "ethics", "honesty", and abiding with the law?

Oh wait. Bannon is a Libertarian Asshole who wants to deconstruct the Constitution.

So, why is he allowed to hang around Republicans and the Republican Party leadership again?

Everything Bannon touches gets covered with slime and shit...and everyone should have known that since he was kicked off the Biodome II project for trying to take over that project in the 90's.
