(40,795 posts)32. It's what captured the nation's attention back during Vietnam.
There were nightly reports on the news of college sit-ins & protests all over the country. I remember watching & wishing I was a college student instead of a 10-year-old stuck on a farm. By the time I graduated from high school, the voting age had been lowered from 21 to 18. Teenaged boomers did that.
Young people have incredible power if they'd just use it. And who has more at stake in the future than young people? They just need to remember, the system isn't perfect.

Mass student protests would have big impact. Be it walk outs or hallway sit ins, hard for adults to ignore. Go kids!!!
