5. An uncle I never knew died in 1925. Measles

He was 10 years old. First he had Measles in late spring. Then when he was OVER the Measles, his weakened immune system allowed a fatal pneumonia in June.

That was a common pattern in those days before safe and effective vaccines.

George Washington was sterile. Never had children of his own. Measles when he was 19. Measles can make males sterile.
