Vance, Rubio, etc al saying they'll be bringing ICE for the express purpose of triggering Milan's refusal to admit those goons. Now they can say it will be "no longer be safe" for them to attend.

Of course, if safety was the actual concern, they would be bringing Secret Service as security.

But this little bit of theater allows them to A) go on all the wingnut networks and splutter their indignation at the "insult" and B) avoid humiliating footage of them being loudly and enthusiastically booed everywhere they go.
