2. Yes, although it's a cliche that generation

was great and we can still learn a lot from them. It is tragic that there are so few left, because we need their wisdom now more than ever. I was privileged to know a WWll vet very well (my late father in law) who also served three tours in Vietnam. He wasn't perfect, but he was modest and knew the dangers of authoritarianism firsthand. I miss him, but in a way I am glad that he passed away right before trump came on the scene.
