Vasectomy is a simpler procedure but some men feel it might make them less of a man. And they may be afraid to have their junk messed with by a doctor's blade. But as one who became childless by choice, I am glad I never had to defend myself in paternity suits and have court ordered child-support payments garnished from my pay. The sowing of "wild oats" has lasting consequences not to mention the trauma induced in an unwanted or "bastard" child. It's a shame that some men feel intitled to impregnate many women and brag about how virile they are. Well I say, farm animals can breed but real men take responsibility as parents raising their children or they choose not to father a child. And today's right wing anti-abortion agenda makes it more important to not burden a woman with an unwanted pregnancy. So in some cases, it's literally a matter of life or death.
