We are still in the early stages, but it was in the early stages of the Rise of the Third Reich where they banned opposition political parties. Maybe tonight the Democratic Party is labelled a terrorist organization, banned and anyone associated with it subject to criminal persecution.

Sounds far-fetched doesn't it? /sarcasm
