1984 meets Animal Farm [View all]

I honestly think that Venezuela is only the start. It's the whole reason Kegseth is pulling back from the other commands in Europe, Asia and Africa, to concentrate in around the US. It's literally telegraphed in the rebranding from "Department Defense" to "Department of War". He is empire building to control South and central America and Mexico. Billionaires have already started building faux city-states, currently just large compounds now, in central and South American countries but they keep running into push back from their host nations that don't like the idea of billionaires essentially annexing a portion of their country.

Their new fiefdoms would be much more pleasant if they didn't have to follow any rules but their own. That will be easier once the US finishes conquering their current host nation.
