Trump hasn't quite learned yet, but there is a reason that any executive has a communications officer that works with them, rather than just spontaneously tweeting: it provides a filter to keep bad things from going out that could possibly provide blowback. Somewhere, though, I think that he's beginning to make this realisation, probably because the unfiltered tweets are increasing evidence of his own cognitive decline. When the message looks grammatically correct, this makes me think that Trump is either dictating his rant (more than likely) or letting someone else rant for him (less likely) in a more controlled manner. it doesn't make it any less vile, but it does serve to hide his own mental deterioration.

As for the MAGAts, there is a hard core of people who are just narcissistic sociopaths, misogynist, racist, often psychopathic. They don't see anything wrong with Trump, and frankly they are beyond help. For those who trusted him on his word, however, the sense of betrayal is there, but they don't want to seem out of step with what they believe is their in-group. They may not vote Democrat, but they are increasingly unlikely to vote GOP either. There are also those who were taken in by the media blitz toward the end of the election, and are much more skeptical now that they've seen how things are actually playing out.
