In some very small part, the people who adivse trump have determined that it was not useful to his cause to have so many firings in the first year or so of his term.

Do you remember Rachel Maddows wall of Dismissal? A graphic reminder of the short tenure of many officials. I think this stuck with his advisors.

I believe the decision was made to stick with, no matter how odious, how berated his picks, his original cabinet picks simply because everyone was laughing until the tears ran down their legs.

Miller? Bannon? Don't matter. Some jerk has said "you can't go firing cabinet secretaries every coupla day. Looks bad"

Right because it looks like THEY CHOSE A FUCKING MORON FOR THE JOB. And the rest of the mob are just catching up with this.
