"Nero Wins Rigged Greek Olympics" [View all]

Not exactly breaking news here-- But I found this little knowledge-nugget on a website called "Fact Republic"

"In 67 AD, Emperor Nero toured Greece and had officials move the Olympic Games forward from AD 69 so he could compete. He entered multiple events, including a chariot race with a ten-horse team, fell before the finish, and still received the victor’s crown; organizers declared him the winner of every event he entered. After his suicide in AD 68, Greek authorities erased his staged triumphs from inscriptions and official Olympic records."

Just wondering if this reminds anybody of anyone in particular. . .
