I guess my main concern is that it is an obsession. It began in the summer, when she saw a very pregnant woman's belly peeking out of the bottom of a tee shirt at a frozen yogurt shop. I'm pretty sure her older sibs told her about their mom's belly getting bigger and bigger until she was born. She doesn't remember being in there and wants to understand the bizarreness of the whole idea. She's a very smart kid and I know she'll be moving on to other interests. I just never saw this with any of the other kids in the family. I'm not someone who tells a kid who to be. I like to encourage their imagination and exploration. I could never stand, still can't, anyone dictating to me who I should be. This little girl is naturally maternal and even likes to mother me. It's a beautiful thing in such a little person. Your story is very illuminating and will keep me from worrying. Thank you again.
