My mom was having dizziness and drove to her doctor the same day I was having my checkup. My doctor waltzes into my exam room and says We don't need an ambulance because you can drive your mom to the hospital. Turned out she needed a pacemaker. She was at the same age, 82, her father was when he died in his sleep from his heart just stopping. She lived till the age of 96. So I bring this up because if that's what you need, it's nothing to be scared about. I know other people who suddenly became more active after getting one.
