Many have been sent to reeducation camps, others have been "adopted" by russian families. They are frequently having their names and birthdates changed so they can't be tracked. The purpose is to completely strip them of their Ukrainian identity and turn them into russians. Older boys are being turned into soldiers to use in the against their own country. IOW, the intent is expresssly genocidal, and is the reason that the ICC has an arrest warrant out on Putin.

This is obviously a HUGE issue for the Ukrainians.
