5. That's not how I took it, and I'm an atheist.

If anything, it was a humanist take to me. No imaginary being is required to have faith that humans can be the light because they have the capacity to hope. Without hope there is no light, with no light, no action. But then, I'm used to translating to fit my humanist frame. 😄
