On January 6 at the US Capitol you could beat the shit out of LEO and beat them nearly to death with wooden clubs and iron bars.

But today you can't throw one punch at a police officer.

One gets a full pardon and $100 million dollars for pain and suffering. The other gets tossed in jail for a long stretch and then deported.
