Reporter gets a rubber bullet hit somewhere on the lower part of her body.

Watched the video - riot police guy with rubber bullet gun looks, spots reporter and camera man, lifts, fires, hits reporter.

Why did this make the Australian news?
Well, the reporter is an Australian, or at least reporting for an Australian media outlet.

It's a big deal, apparently, but the Aussie media does that a lot.
eg '100 people killed in a run-with-the-bulls' story, two Australians! Ignore the 98 others, focus on the Australians!'

Yeah, I made that story up, but you get the idea - the local media does it too often.

As for the riot police guy - is a high sadism ability part of the entry exam?
How would he go with a real gun?

Let's be honest.
Trump is deliberately stirring things up, reacting with violent repression a la Putin style, and not too long before gunfire will ring out.
