However, Hogsbreath is a very, very Petty Officer.
The kind that might go missing overboard one dark night in the middle of an ocean, leaving a half dozen empty bottles of "contraband" under his bunk.
Anyway, YOU DON'T CHANGE THE NAME OF A COMMISSIONED SHIP. Full stop.
The only times a ship name can be changed is before it's christening, or after it's been decommissioned and changes ownership or flag.
Whether or not you believe in bad juju, enough people will, and a ship that's forced to change names due to a whim while in service is pretty much doomed.
And that's bad enough on a regular ship, but on a ship that carries fuel for fleets of ships? A ship that's basically a bomb waiting to happen? If something untoward happens, it could be as bad as the Concord Weapons Depot or the Port Arthur fertilizer ship explosions - where objects were vaporized out to half a mile out.
