He’s president, he won’t be impeached, there won’t be any leak of incriminating Epstein files, it will be Trump’s word against Elon’s.

Trump knows he can stay aloof, with the occasional “Sad!” Tweet, while Musk will self-destruct, escalating his tweet rhetoric until he is foaming at the mouth and Tesla stockholders remove him as CEO.

Will this war affect the OBBB? Possibly, although it was already on the path to major revisions- now we will have to wait and see just what the senate changes so it can pass.

Will it affect the midterms? Hard to say, although if Musk throws some money at starting anew party, who knows?

Otherwise, I don’t think Trump will suffer much personally from this war with Elon- what has he got to lose?
