7. Yep. When its all said and done, those that wanted it will see the financial fall out

I know they don't care about what happens to these people. But when small businesses start closing, it will have a financial impact on the community. Removing thousands of people from communities, will impact businesses. Less people buying groceries, clothing, going to the movie theater, bowling alley, restaurants and on and on. So they may think this is a great idea, but wait till it starts affecting their bottom line.
And even then, they may not admit they were wrong - they will find another boogey man to blame for their circumstances.
