On Thursday, May 22, 2025, the New Mexico Department of Health held a press conference to provide an update on measles cases at the NMDOH Homestead Facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico. According to the department, it is the "largest outbreak" they've seen in years.

NMDOH reports 78 confirmed cases in New Mexico. The latest confirmed cases were detected in Sandoval County and involve four people.

One of the new cases is an infant too young for vaccination and three adults, each with at least one dose of the measles, mumps, rubella vaccine ...
