That would require a Dem not afraid to play hardball.
They exist, but they don’t have the full support of the party (or at least the big backers, who supposedly have “decided” that “their” next candidate is a white man… 
)
Even if a progressive fighter was elected, they might not even have the support of their own party. We need a Roosevelt:
