The parallels are the same. The people were prodded by the rich to not trust their government and the rich people put people into power to cause the government to grid lock.

The people of Rome then were convinced they needed a strong man to fix it and just as Caesar crossed the Rubicon so has Donald Trump.

Thom says that an oligarchy is not self sustainable, it does not last, and when the time comes we will either throw out the billionaires or turn into Russia or Hungary.
