13. I didn't know that there was an Independent Party.

I’m aware of the Democratic, Republican Libertarian, Conservative, Green, Tea, Socialist and Communist Parties running candidates in past elections and what they profess but never the “Independent Party”. Perhaps he meant that he’s unaffiliated with any party, which to me shows that he either has no core political values or is too afraid to express them in public.
