Ah, the "aluminum blankets"!
If you're near the end of The Marathon here in NYC in Nov (the south west entrance to Central Park) towards the late afternoon, early evening when it's already getting dark; you'll see the runners who've gone into CP to finish now walking out again to leave.
They're often wrapped up in the aluminum blankets! So I've seen those in person.
Glad you helped those underdressed college age kids out. 👍
