Mike Lindell's Big Announcement, Tina Peters Busting Out? - Raw News And Politics

Updates regarding Donald Trump coup clowns:
Donald Trump issued a fake pardon to Tina Peters, and her attorney is encouraging him to use force to release her from prison. My lumpy pillow man, Mike Lindell makes a laughable announcement. And, Trump's Pennsylvania allies cost taxpayers BIGLY. - 12/16/2025.

the people of the state are furious with her (probably except MAGA) and sending pressure to our Gov not to cave. Our AG is already strong and a fighter (he is term limited and has announced he will run for the Governor's slot (he is also term limited.) I can also tell you that Colorado has one of the best prison systems in the country. My husband has been incarcerated in it since 2011, and in that time has been in various facilities including two private prisons and four state-run prisons. I have visited him every two weeks except during the pandemic and a 6-month period in 23-24 when I was in the hospital and in rehab and then awaiting clearance to drive. The food is not gourmet, but it's nourishing and it's not contaminate as it is in some prisons (mostly in the south, as best I can tell from reading articles about them.) He has never complained to me about any staff member at any of them (and he's not one to be shy about complaining.) All the staff whom I have interacted with have been at least courteous to me and often beyond courteous. One Sergeant came out to jump start my car when it wouldn't start after a visit - I didn't ask for that. he just did it - an that was at a private prison. Every private prison has a full time ombudsman assigned full time to make sure any complaints an inmate might have are not shrugged off, but dealt with. I might add that the staff are not paid to take abuse from inmates, including verbal abuse, for which there are consequences. Sure, it's not fun to be locked up, but if Ms. Peters manages to be polite to the staff she should not have any complaints either (although I'll bet she's another natural born complainer.)

I have family in Colorado, my uncle worked for Martin Marietta (IIRC he worked on Skylab) so my youngest 2 cousins were born and grew up there, they've all been here (New York) but I've never been there, though my mother went out every year to visit her sister.

I've never been to the prisons here, but I know those who bring AA meetings into the local prisons. I'm glad to hear that they seem pretty decent and the staff there are too. On the other side of my family, my Dad's cousin's husband spent his career working in the State Prisons around here and he always seemed like a really nice guy.

As for Mrs. Peters, it's obvious that she needs to serve her time and that TFG (who does not seem to have any knowledge of national or state laws) thinks he can pardon anyone who broke the law supporting him, so I'm hoping that the State of Colorado doesn't cave. It was bad enough that he pardoned all the violent insurrectionists, many of whom went on to commit other crimes. *sigh*

on account of I see New York as being generally civilized. Just as I would expect prisons in, oh, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, not to be very good. Not that there aren't some very civilized people living in those states - just not the majority.
