Yes, this guy seems like a first-rate asshole, and I'm sure people from both sides of the aisle were happy to see him body-slammed. But seriously, that isn't how a democratic institution works. Surely there were sanctions that would have made sense -- such as denial of committee participation and any other perks. And even in the worse case, censure or removal from office under due process. But I don't see how one person can arbitrarily just decide the guy cannot enter the chamber of the body he was elected to.

This is essentially the same thing that went on in Tennessee last year and we should not be condoning that, even if it means defending a MAGA person.

if other Senators weren't allowed in to the hear the State of the State speech live.

However, I believe the transgression was the defamatory comments this man made in the House earlier.
