I apologize that there are so few "official" videos available, this practice by HBO appears to have started last season. If any are uploaded in the meantime, I'll definitely add them. But I wanted to share what's available before the "bootleg" videos are gone.
Gavin Newsom on Mirroring Trump
California Governor Gavin Newsom addresses his trolling of Donald Trump and the 'unprecedented level of corruption' coming from the current administration.
New Rule: I Will Not Learn It!
New Rule: Do not, under any circumstances, tell Bill Maher what 'the Overton window" is.
Overtime with Bill Maher: Bret Stephens & Gillian Tett
Bill and his Real Time guests King's College, Cambridge Provost Gillian Tett and Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Bret Stephens continue their conversation after the show.
Here's a "bootleg" version of the show which includes the entire interview with Gov. Gavin Newsom, Democratic governor of California, host of the podcast This is Gavin Newsom, and author of Young Man in a Hurry: A Memoir of Discovery; entire panel discussion with Bret Stephens, Pulitzer Prize-winner and opinion columnist at The New York Times; and Gillian Tett, provost of Kings College, Cambridge and a columnist and editorial board member at Financial Times; Bill's "Funny Bit"; and the opening part of New Rules. It won't last long, as usual:

(132,853 posts)so I missed the first part and so did my brother. I caught the later Real Time but shared your OP with my brother. And I got to watch Overtime.
Much appreciated.

(257,818 posts)My cousin is a big hockey fan so he and his wife took a trip last fall to visit Montreal and Ottawa. I wasn't sure how things would go for him given the ridiculous attacks by the felon-in-chief. He said there were a lot of signs, but the people he met couldn't have been nicer.
He's from Colorado, but I live in Northeastern New York, so I've been to Canada several times and still have friends there who I got to know in summer camp in Vermont. In the summer we used to get a lot of Canadian visitors (Lake George, New York), but last summer I didn't see one Canadian license plate, most are usually from Ontario and Quebec.

(132,853 posts)most of you and Americans would be polite but it is terrifying to think of being in the US in these times. I've been to Boston twice as an young adult. Loved it both times. Found Americans so outgoing and fun. I hope some day soon we get relief from our troubles and we can be great neighbours again.
PS It was really sweet to see the crowd in Buffalo sing/finish the Canadian anthem when the microphone failed at a hockey game last week. It gave me good goosebumps.

(257,818 posts)And friend which is Canada. But instead, no doubt at Jared's urging, this greedy monster went instead to Saudi Arabia. And between 9/11 and the brutal murder of Jamal Khashoggi, that should have been his last choice. But Jared ended up with billions and obviously so has his father-in-law.
Before Covid, my friends from summer camp used to have reunions. One of my favorites has turned out to be the now-wife of one of our counselors who are from Quebec. And during one of our conversations she gave me quite a lecture on the dangers of our 45th (and now 47th) president. I certainly felt the same way, but I was impressed.

(132,853 posts)policies on healthcare and college funding and minimum wages are way different. Why Trump didn't make any inroads with his talk of annexing us... who would give up good public schools and good healthcare? We see you struggling under Republicans when they rule and how you don't get to have 'nice things'. You are showing the world what the danger of illiberal rule is and, at the same time, showing us in the rest of the world how to fight back. I have been so impressed with DUers over the years and don't know why the MAGA base is so unimformed relative to you guys. How does that happen in the same country? But the world is wise to the fascists thanks to your suffering and how you share it, your intellects and knowledge of the world shine through but most of what I see on the DU every day is the compassion you have for people. I bet a Brexit would not happen again the way it did.... and even the far right parties in Europe are separating themselves from Trump. I'm just so sorry you are going through what you are going through and had to spend last year cutting and cutting your loses. Better times ahead this year I think. (((HUGS)))

(257,818 posts)When we were kids we lived at the Northern end of Lake George, I looked straight down the lake from my bedroom window. Now I live just south of the southern end of the lake. It is a beautiful lake surrounded by mountains. But the southern end, Lake George Village, is crowded with tourists during the summer season. Myself, I prefer the calmer northern end.

(132,853 posts)surrounded by mountains. You are so lucky to still live there. I bet the stars are amazing.

(257,818 posts)There were quite a few Canadian fellow campers, including those whose parents sent them there to learn English. I got sent because I used to ride horses, riding and swimming were the main activities, but I can't even remember all the other activities. It was run by a married couple who ran it from 1951 to 2006 and their middle daughter who was my age remains one of my best friends. There are five of us who still keep in touch, we've been through a lot together, but we haven't had another reunion since the pandemic. And, speaking of the sky, I once saw the Northern Lights at summer camp!

(132,853 posts)house was mine. How great you campers kept in touch. There was a mountain right behind our cottage going north so we never saw the Northern Lights there. I saw them one time in Ottawa though. I never rode until I was in my mid twenties and then I would ride once a summer for a few years. I had no training and would try to gallop. Really dangerous I realized after a few years.

(257,818 posts)We did English riding, dressage and over fences and at camp I was a member of the drill team. I was also a member of the rifle team, learned how to shoot at camp, and when I was in high school where we live now, at a PTA meeting my mother asked the team coach (also my chemistry teacher) if there were any girls on the team. He said there weren't, but there was no reason why there couldn't be, so I was the first and only girl on the school rifle team. And he was very nice, let my good (female) friend come whenever we had matches with other schools. She was in the club, but wasn't good enough to be on the team, so I wasn't the only girl when we went places.

(132,853 posts)Less of a pro gun culture here in Canada.
Rhiannon12866
(257,818 posts)So the counselor at the time said there was nothing to be afraid of if you knew what you were doing. So she taught me the rules and I did really well, so I joined the camp team and eventually the school team, but I don't have a gun now, I don't need one. It's been a long time since I rode a horse or shot a gun - but I know how. One of my teachers used to call me Annie Oakley...
