Related: About this forumSoledad O'Brien: 'The Devil is Busy' gives "a more nuanced picture" of abortion providers - Velshi - MS NOW
The new HBO documentary The Devil is Busy looks at the difficult daily work of abortion providers working under strict restrictions in Atlanta. Executive producer Soledad O'Brien tells Ali Velshi that with abortion becoming a highly politicized issue, she wanted to show "who are the actual people in these clinics, and what they do day in and day out."
The documentary's focus on providers and patients, rather than higher level discussions of policy, O'Brien explains, aims to provide "a more nuanced picture of what's actually happening" in post-Roe America. - Aired on 12/07/2025.

They are in the Pacific NW.
They say they are supported by grants - I want to know if they are US government grants. Their clinic is very fancy.
Yes - they get grants through HHS under Title X.

(248,370 posts)2. Depends on their reason for being, if they're only there to talk women out of abortion, how are they a "clinic?"
I consider this to be a private matter, between a woman and her doctor. I once was driving down a well traveled main road in my town and there was a woman standing by the side of the road holding a big sign that said she had had an abortion. I sure considered that to be pretty bizarre until I learned that there was a Planned Parenthood clinic on a side street. And I don't think that they even offer abortions there, but they seem to bring out the crazies...

You know, with the entire panel made up of ONLY aged WHITE MEN.
