Both Brent Welder and Cori Bush were defeated.

Brent was ahead by 8 points at one time; when I left the watch party last night around midnight, he was still ahead, and the returns from Johnson County hadn't come in. It was Johnson County that turned the tide; Johnson County, JoCo, is gentrified Kansas.

I'm heartbroken. I busted my ass campaigning for Brent, even though I live across the state line in Missouri; I knocked doors, phomebanked and filled out postcards for voters.

I'm staying out of GD for today; I can't stand the gloating every time an Our Revolution candidate is defeated.

I don't post on DU nearly as much as I used to. I'm annoyed by the burning hatred a lot of DUers seem to have of progressives.
