Cannabis
Related: About this forumAs promised...My very low-cost grow.
In about a week or two my first very low cost cannabis grow will be harvested. Without going into much detail this grow will cost NOTHING.
Only real money being spent is electric for lights and fans which is minimal.
Getting costs down this low has been a dream Ive had for about a decade.
Little background, Ive been growing cannabis for about 20 or so years first illegally, now legally in Michigan. Started with photoperiod in hydroponics, now Autoflowers in soil. Been a farmer/gardener most of my life so this comes kinda easy to me.
The soil and grow bags have been used before and will be used again. Soil is refreshed each grow its a mixture we have that is used in the garden boxes and other grow bags we have for veggies. That took care of one cost.
The next costly thing is nutrients, I used no store bought nutes, everything was grown in-house. I used comfrey and field horsetail, both supply tons of minerals and the comfrey delivers long term nitrogen.
Used both two ways
chopped & dried and liquid tea. The chopped & dried was mixed into the soil before the seedlings were planted and as a side dressing throughout the grow. The liquid tea was made this fall and used in the waterings throughout the grow. The NPK of Boking 14 or russiancomfrey is N 1.80, P 0.50, and a whopping K of 7.09.
Both are growing sustainably by our garden where they are used in the same manner.
Anyway heres a picture.

(13,208 posts)with LST (low stress training). Tent height is 84 then I try to keep the lights at about 18 to 24 inches above the canopy. This strain expresses toward the Northern Lights side of its genetics which foxtails badly if too close to the light (heat) source.
