(1,032 posts)and was pleased with the results. The worst part was the decarboxylation. Nerve wracking the first time worrying about all that weed going up in smoke. 😄

(14,899 posts)"decarb'd" enough... or I thought. I used 151 Everclear to make the tincture.. Took a month of turning over every day...
It works but I don't care for this tincture route. It tastes to grassy. Then again I think it'sjust me.. YMMV
I've made other tinctures and they all came out fine and worked out well.

(9,456 posts)Learned that on the internets. Bake weed in oven on parchment paper around 225 degrees, put into jar and pour in Everclear - about an inch over weed, put in freezer for five days - stirring once a day, strain thru cheesecloth and you have your tincture. I make grape and cherry gummies with organic juices, organic honey and grass fed beef gelatin. A pinch of citric acid also acts like a preservative but I also use a very tiny amount of potassium sorbate - not needed if they will all be eaten in a few weeks.
