If you put tincture in freezer for 5 days - same result as on a shelf for a month womanofthehills Feb 2022 #3

and was pleased with the results. The worst part was the decarboxylation. Nerve wracking the first time worrying about all that weed going up in smoke. 😄

"decarb'd" enough... or I thought. I used 151 Everclear to make the tincture.. Took a month of turning over every day...
It works but I don't care for this tincture route. It tastes to grassy. Then again I think it'sjust me.. YMMV
I've made other tinctures and they all came out fine and worked out well.

Learned that on the internets. Bake weed in oven on parchment paper around 225 degrees, put into jar and pour in Everclear - about an inch over weed, put in freezer for five days - stirring once a day, strain thru cheesecloth and you have your tincture. I make grape and cherry gummies with organic juices, organic honey and grass fed beef gelatin. A pinch of citric acid also acts like a preservative but I also use a very tiny amount of potassium sorbate - not needed if they will all be eaten in a few weeks.

Recipes are all over the place - I think 30 to 45 minutes is about average
