Related: About this forumI'm thinking about getting an electric wheelchair or scooter to go around town in.
I have some for a fair price on Amazon, but they require assembly. I've checked local medical suppliers and the prices are through the roof. Any one have tips & tricks for getting an electric scooter? TIA.

I can shuffle along for a few hundred meters. The pain is killing me.

I'm sorry, but I have no other ideas for you, except to try calling your local senior center & council on aging & ask them.
Also, maybe you could get a techie high school or college student to put it together for you as a community service project.
Best of luck to you.

with them. May be able to pick up a nice used one.
