so so. Too long. And, in general, I wish that movie makers would leave well enough alone. I really don't know of any instance - not that I am expert - that a sequel, or a remake are equal to the original.

It's still, apparently, a "cult" movie like the original, but a third movie seems in order for a new set of questions.

(18,606 posts)I haven't seen the original from 1987 with Scott Glen but I like very much the 2004 Man on Fire collaboration of Denzel and Tony Scott. IMDB.com ranks the original at 5.9 out of 10 and the remake at 7.7.
Also, Expendable 3 was the best in the series along with Rambo 4 in that series.
